QUIET CHAOS: Music, Drawing and Cuisine from the Philippines

Join us for a night exploring drawing from sound through the lens of synesthesia, lead by producer, artist and DJ Stella Z. We’ll respond to sound, rhythm, and texture through intuitive mark making—translating what we hear into visual forms. The session includes warm-ups, short sketches, and longer pieces inspired by a variety of music, noise and voices, with a mix of individual and collaborative drawing exercises. Designed for all levels—no training required—it encourages mindful and playful exploration of the senses.

On food duties for the evening, LaAng will be creating a special Filipino inspired menu. LaAng aka ta-yo is a DJ/Baker, based in London; though born and raised in the streets of South Philippines. He co- founded Filipino x Korean supper club Gachitayo, that aims to bring a taste of the East to East London and founder of Cornelio, Panaderia ni Merida which is a Filipino Bakery that’s on the path of perfecting the art of pandesal.

Please note that the menu for this evening will include meat. If you have any dietary requirements and wish to attend the event please let us know in advance: maeve@m-o-connects.com
